K1 Visas for Couples Who Have Never Met

Generally speaking it is a strict requirement that the couple filing for the?K1 Visa have in fact met at least one on a face-to-face basis in the two years preceding the filing of the I-129F Petition with the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). If they have not they are usually not able to continue the process. However there are a few very rare cases where the requirement of meeting face-to-face is waived. Do not rely on this however as the rules are very strict. Examples of why the requirement may be waved can be seen in strict religious cases and in cases where extreme hardship is evident.
