New Android tablet

Hi I am very new to owning a tablet and have 2 questions.

I cannot seem to sync. the clock. If I go to the clock icon. it only gives me options to set alarm. I can see no way to set the true time and date?

Where can I find out what operating system it is using? When I bought it the advert said Jelly Bean, but the paper work with the box says Icecream. I would like to check I have the newer version. I contacted the firm, who state the tablet is running Jelly bean and that the paper work has not been updated. I would like to make sure this is correct, so I know I have what I bought.
